The designation for a New CRA Registered Teacher/Animal Practitioner or Teacher LAL method consists of three parts.
The information below is for NEW members joining for the first time.
Current members of the CRA can upgrade to include Animal Reiki in the MEMBERS ONLY area.
Part A is for registering as a Human Reiki Teacher, which is required
Part B is for a Registered Teacher applying for Animal Practitioner (CARP) LAL® who qualified in Part A
Part C is for Registered Teachers applying for Animal Teacher (CART) LAL® who qualified in Part A.
Part A
To qualify as a C.R.A. Registered Teacher, you will have studied and completed the minimum teaching requirements for the style of Reiki you studied. Minimum: This will consist of not less than three (3) up to four (4) levels of training, depending on Lineage. We encourage all applicants to teach Reiki classes during this one-year waiting period. Upon the first anniversary of receiving your Master’s Level Certificate, you may apply.
New Teacher Membership Criteria:
Provide copies of all certificates which must all be in the same style of Reiki.
- Signed Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct, Scope of Practice, Disciplinary Action and Teacher Guidelines forms Linked here: Governing Policy Forms & Teacher Guidelines
- Your very own Original class Outlines in theory and practice for each level of Reiki you were attuned to in the Master Class, regardless of whether you plan to teach that level or not. Photocopies of other Reiki Teachers’ Outlines will not be accepted, and we do not want your manuals. Think of the outlines as a brief picture of what you plan to do with your students. Think of your Outlines as a page from a day timer book listing what the tasks of your day are. Your Outlines are separate and apart from your Manuals. Outlines are a brief picture with the timeline of the topic only (not the full detail or the how of your teachings) CRA would like to see each item from the mandatory minimal required items from the Teacher Guidelines. The Guidelines are your Checklist and each item and should be in your Outlines. You can teach more than the minimums, if time allows, but you want to ensure that you teach each of the items that are listed for each Level in the Teacher Guidelines. Two examples are in relation to giving the students the Manuals at the start of the class and ending with giving each student a Certificate once you are satisfied they meet the requirements. These 2 items must be listed on your Outline including the requirements. Pay special attention to the timing of your attunements. The Teacher Guidelines are an excellent resource to assist you with your outlines! A member of the C.R.A. Board will review each level. If revisions to the class outlines are required, the Board Member will contact you directly by email with any needed changes.
- Complete 12 case studies and submit them with your application.
- Case studies must be recorded on CRA Case Study forms.
- One sixty (60) minute Reiki Session equals one case study. Sessions longer than 60 minutes will be counted as one case study. Case studies must equal twenty-four hours.
- You must have at least two different clients when doing your case studies.
- Case studies can be combined with C.E.U.’s signed by a CRA Reiki Teacher hosting a Reiki Exchange or a Student Practice Night on CRA CEU Forms.
- If you include Continuing Education Units (C.E.U.) forms, they may not exceed half or 6 of the 12 case studies minimum. (This is optional.)
- Practice time at CRA Teacher-hosted practices and CRA-hosted Reiki exchanges will count as 1 CEU per one contact hour for a maximum of 2 CEUs per event.
- Case studies will not involve Distance Reiki, practicing on animals, or on children.
- Case studies must be completed within 12 months before the application date.
- Case studies, Certificates and Class Outlines must be submitted with Part B or C.
